You knew what you wanted but didn’t exactly know how to get there?
Or have you felt like, I need to do more in my life because, “I feel like this is not my story’s end?”
The need to do more, and I have to do more is just where my story starts.
Hi, I am Coach Brenda J.
Maybe a lot of you don’t know me, but a select few do. I am a 54 yr old mother of 3 beautiful children, ranging from ages 29, 27, and 22. Two of the 3 were born prematurely weighing 2 lbs 12 oz and 3 lbs 13 ozs. They were healthy babies, just born 2 months early. I was 25 and 27 when I had the first 2, and 32 when I had my last.
After having my last, I felt like my life was almost complete, but there was something missing. I could not quite place my finger on it, but I felt it inside. On the daily I tried to search within myself to figure out what was missing, but for a long time, I just couldn’t.
Fast forward to 2010. GE Aviation came to our community. It was an opportunity of a lifetime. I applied for a position there because it paid great and it was a chance for me to do more for my family. Well as time passed the chance never came for me to work there, I never received that call. Fast forward to 2013. I finally received the call, that I need to come in for an interview. I was beside myself. Thrilled when I got the word that I was hired. It felt so right.
What I am saying is that it is a time and place for everything. In 2010 when I applied for this position it wasn’t my time, but 3 yrs later it was! So just because your vision is delayed does not me it was denied. I had been at GE for 8 yrs in 2021, and that yr was my last yr. I just felt it in me that it was time to go. So I prayed and prayed. I had been given many signs that it was time, but I kept putting it off. When my anniversary came up this year(2021) I knew it would not be long. I was mentally and physically tired. It was all that consumed my thoughts. I thought the number 7 means completion. So I thought, yesss this is for me. Then I thought the number 8 means new beginnings. Yessss, absolutely this is my time. So I did what I thought I would never do! I haven’t looked back since.
So 4 yrs ago I took a keen interest into being a life coach. I searched all I could on personal development, and decided that life coaching was for me. I loved being of service to others and I was doing the work anyway. In 2019, I got into a program with Life and Relationship Coach Tony Gaskins, and from that program, I was chosen as a candidate for his mentor program! I loved it!
Late 2020, I was sure I wasn’t quite ready to jump into coaching just yet. I felt the need to want more. In December of 2020, I met this incredible person and was introduced to Diamond Academy. I joined Diamond Academy in March of 2021. I amaze myself when I reflect on all the things that I have learned.
